The organisation was great from the information provided before the trip detailing what was needed, to the itinerary before we left, to the updates throughout the holiday. The camps - food, tents and staff were great and what the guys could do when they moved camp was impressive. Then came the animals, the tracking of these was impressive Sarah, Chris and the drivers could tell when an animal was on the move and where they would be heading so that we could try and get ahead of them. Sarah and Chris are a great team! They are knowledgable about the wildlife encountered and happy to share their expertise. A quality that they share is that they employ a sympathetic approach to the animals - they are sensitive to an individual animal's demeanour and act accordingly. All the support staff they are employ are exceptional and clearly enjoy their work. There are many people involved - Drivers / Guides / cooks & kitchen staff and those who set up, service and maintain the camps and vehicles used. Sarah and Chris are both excellent photographers in their own right; they go out of their way to make sure that clients improve their own photography skills along the way. Nothing is too much trouble. They are also good fun! Chris’s impersonation of a hippo has to be heard to be believed! We joined Images of Wildlife in Botswana for one of the best photo tours ever. The group was small - only 6, with 3 to a vehicle which meant that we were all well placed for photo opportunities. Sarah and Chris gave suggestions, advice and ideas as needed, and worked with very skilled drivers, Josta and Moses, to not only find good sightings, but also get us into good positions to make best use of the light for photography. And they did this in a way that ensured we were always respectful of the animals space and needs. Mobile camping was a lot of fun and the support team worked hard to set up the camps, make them comfortable and keep us well fed and looked after. I had a brilliant time, improved my photography skills, enjoyed some incredible sightings - wild dog hunt and lions roaring right next to the vehicles and cannot wait to join them again.

I can't wait to be able to go on another trip with them in the future.

I came in with little photography experience, only taking one class and picking up my camera maybe a couple times a year. So I was pretty nervous to start out that I wouldn't get anything that memorable or great, being such a beginner. But because I work with animals for a living, I still wanted to experience them in their natural environments so I tried it out, and learning some photography was going to be a bonus. I lost count of how many times I looked at the back of my camera saying "wow", honestly in disbelief that I was able to take that photo just from listening to what Sarah and Chris were saying. I feel like I improved every single day without even realizing it was happening. Their teaching style was very easy for me to grasp right away. They shared camera settings and shooting tips, but also shared something I really appreciated was that even really good photographers miss shots, and in the end what matters is whether you're happy with your own photos rather than how other people might judge them. You can feel the passion that they have for what they do in every aspect of the whole trip, from the planning of every detail, to guest comfort and happiness with photos, and the animals' comfort with our presence. When I got back, I realized I didn't get attached to a specific sighting or place. I got attached to a specific way of experiencing wildlife. I can't wait to be able to go on another trip with them in the future.

This tour is a real adventure and so much more than obtaining images of snow leopards. We felt that we were immersed in Indian culture as well as having excellent wildlife sightings (four snow leopards, foxes, ibex, blue sheep, yaks and a Himalayan wolf). The Wildebeest Calving & Big Cat Photo Tour Feb 2026 could not have been any better! This is my third tour with Images of Wildlife to Tanzania, and once again, Tanzania has delivered. The staff at both the camps we stayed at were remarkable in their helpfulness and demeanour, the food was excellent, and the other guests were great company. Aside from the great spotting, the game vehicle drivers were always helpful and cheerful. and handled the challenging driving circumstances during the rain with great skill. Notably, as a consequence of the rain, the vehicles typically returned to camp covered with mud, but they were consistently wonderfully clean for our next drive. I am immensely grateful to our hosts, Sarah and Chris, for the considerable effort they dedicated to making the tour an unforgettable experience. Their hard work is truly admirable.

This was our first safari trip and it was excellent from start to finish.

This was our first safari trip and it was excellent from start to finish. Prior to travelling, we had regular email updates with information covering travel health, visas and packing guidelines. Once in Kenya we always felt looked after and safe. The choice of camp was above our expectations made even more special by the warmth of the staff. The expertise of the photography guides meant as an amateur photographer and a novice, we have both returned with images to be proud of. Images of Wildlife had everything covered so we could relax and enjoy the week. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah and Chris. Their patience while teaching new photography techniques was greatly appreciated and their love for the wildlife was clear to see. Showing that sometimes we need to leave an animal in peace rather than pushing for a photograph set a great example.

I cannot recommend Sarah and her team highly enough for making our trip of a lifetime become a reality.

We had the most fabulous safari honeymoon experience in Kenya with images of wildlife. Our itinerary was mapped out with the great help and expertise of Sarah who managed to book Giraffe Manor ( incredible experience) We also went to the elephant orphanage, where you can see baby elephants being bottle fed . After that we were off to Elewana Tortilis camp based under Killamanjaro so had spectacular views. The food , service and safari tours were exceptional our every need was met and we couldn’t believe how close we got to the animals. After that we were off to the Maasai Mara and stayed in Kicheche camp. We saw all the big cats and our safari guide was incredible at getting really close to them. Loved the service , outdoor breakfasts watching Hippos , sundowners with nibbles watching cheetahs and hyenas. The whole trip really was magical and I cannot recommend Sarah and her team highly enough for making our trip of a lifetime become a reality.

Each time we travel with Images of Wildlife we return with wonderful memories and new friends

Botswana is my fourth Safari with Images of Wildlife, indeed it is the second time I have been on this particular tour. I had initially planned to do only one trip however the trips are addictive, here are the reasons why. The tour leaders are attentive, knowledgeable, well organised leaving nothing to chance, the quality of accommodation, transport and food is of a very high standard. The tours are very well researched and have been developed over a number of years using the same international guides year in, year out. My first trip to Botswana was truly perfect, the quality of sightings and the lack of other vehicles was astonishing, my concern was whether it could be bettered. This trip was every bit as good, the opportunities to photograph a whole array of wild animals at close range continued throughout the trip. Elephants swimming across the Chobe river, Leopard with kill moving from one tree to another, families of Wild dogs and also of Hyena's, observing close bonds of these and lion cubs with their parents was truly amazing. Too many sighting to mention them all but so many more. The light was amazing, a photographers dream, I also travel with my wife, not a photographer, the sitings often reduced her to tears, happy ones, it was such a wonderful trip. Each time we travel with Images of Wildlife we return with wonderful memories and new friends.

Our guides, Simon and Shaban, were both exceptional at spotting animals while driving that we struggled to find with our telephoto lenses. Their enthusiasm and helpfulness were outstanding. During one memorable morning game drive, we encountered a total of 43 lions, including males, females, and cubs, as well as a coalition of three cheetah males and a zebra kill. All the other guests I shared this trip with, none of whom I knew before the trip, played their part in making my time on this trip so special. Sarah and Chris, our hosts, are truly passionate about their work, possess extensive knowledge, and are consistently eager to offer assistance.

It was my good fortune to have this be my second safari with the Images of Wildlife Photo Tours & Bespoke Safari. I signed up with them again after an amazing tour in Botswana in 2023 that put me to tears so profound was the experience of seeing firsthand wildlife in their natural habitat. My tour to the Bandhavgarh National Park was no different. I again just felt pure contentment at having this wonderful opportunity to see the Beautiful Bengal Tigers firsthand. Sarah, Chris and Bali accompanied us each day into the park with our drivers Mukesh, Ram and Ballu. The drivers were great at tracking and spotting the tigers along with additional wildlife. The staff, food and rooms at the Bandhav Villas provide an old world charm that adds to your experience and memories. I will remember fondly a tablecloth placed on the hood of the safari vehicle for lunch with tiffin boxes placed on them with wonderful local cuisine by the Bandhav Vilas to enjoy during our daily game drives. If you choose Images of Wildlife, you are in good hands of people who truly care about your experience and who are so genuine that you have a great time and see tigers, look no further. During my Bandhavgarh National Park stay we had 20 sightings of tigers and some amazing photo opportunities. During game drives we sit next to the local guide/driver and this ensures we do not encroach upon our guests own space, and means we can effectively communicate with the guide to ensure the best position at sightings. We never prioritise our position at sightings over our guests.

Our tours offer excellent opportunities to view and photograph wildlife in their natural wild environments. The locations we select come from years of experience to ensure that each destination offers excellent wildlife photographic opportunities.

In addition we ensure that we time our tours with the best times of the year to maximise game viewing potential.

High host to guest ratio

Unless stated, on each of our photographic tours you will be accompanied by two photographic hosts. With most of our group sizes varying from 6-9 guests. This ensures we can dedicate ample time to each guest. We will both occupy a separate game vehicle.

We also ensure that you spend equal time with both photography hosts, which also provides the benefit that you will learn different styles of photography.

We understand the needs of photographers and during our tours and safaris we ensure plenty of room in the game vehicles that we use. On most photographic safaris each guest has their own row. We never place more than 4-guests in an 8-seater vehicle.

In addition we use vehicles that are well suited to photographers, with large open sides and roof access as well as providing you with the use of bean bags to stabilise large lenses on many of our tours

Spending plenty in time in the field is a key factor of a good photographic safari. Our photographic tours ensure early starts and spending many hours out in the field in order to maximise the game viewing potential.

Our photographic tours cater for beginners to the more experienced photographer. We will cater our level of tuition and advice to your personal preference and skill level and we ensure we create a friendly and fun environment in which to learn.

If you are not a photographer then we absolutely still welcome you along! All we ask is for is a willingness to spend plenty of time in the field and accommodating the early starts in order to maximise the game viewing potential

Helpful advice

It is vital to us that everyone who joins us on safari feels they are well prepared. This advice starts the moment you contact us and we welcome as many questions as needed, in fact we love it when you ask us questions!

Before your safari we send you a detailed document that covers a wide array of advice. Including general advice of the country you are visiting, packing advice, advice on what camera’s and lenses are best suited and a myriad of other useful information to ensure you are well prepared.

fair costs

We work with our local suppliers to offer single supplement pricing that does not cost the earth. Therefore we are proud to feature tours where single supplements are usually only 10-20% of the tour cost and in some cases less.

Where availability allows and for sole travellers who do not wish to take the single room options we offer the option to share a room with likeminded travellers of the same gender who are also willing to share.

financial protection

Images of Wildlife is a limited company. We are members of Protected Trust Services (Membership Number: 5221) which means all monies you pay to us are financially protected in line with the 2018 Package Travel Regulations via a trust account.

This means that your funds are secure in an independent account and will be protected against our failure from the moment you pay to the day that you return from your trip. We are fully legally compliant to operate safari tours, which includes full public liability insurance.
